With the shorter and cooler days now here, we will be spending some of the next couple of weeks getting ready for winter. Raking leaves, trimming trees and plants and getting the house ready for the colder months are some ways we prepare.
Preventing aches and pains is a great way to make these routine chores a little more bearable.
*Take frequent breaks
*Warm-up and cool-down
*Ensure correct lifting techniques
*Keep a neutral spine when lifting and take things in smaller, more manageable loads.
*Stop when you feel a sharp pain
*Keep hydrated.
