Four Conditions Worsened by Stress
Upwards of fifty percent of Canadians report feeling stressed during the day.  It has become a nuisance that we have learned to grow accustomed to.
Headaches and Migraines - there is a high correlation of  tightness in the musculature in your neck, face, shoulders and back and stress!  If there is prolonged tightness, you are more likely to develop tension headaches and migraines
Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ) - tight musculature around the jaw can affect the hinge joint that is your jaw.  You may notice stiffness, clicking/popping, pain, difficulty chewing and even ear pain.  With the majority of us wearing mask for prolonged periods of time now, many patients are coming in with jaw tightness.  Working on stretching your jaw muscles, when you are at home and not wearing a mask, can help reduce the tightness and prevent the possibility of pain.
Back and Neck Pain - tight musculature around the spine can cause a pull on the vertebrae, eventually leading to spinal misalignment (improper movement of the spine).  We want to prevent this for a many reasons: as weakening of the musculature cam lead to an increased frequency of musculature strains, as improper bone movement can put pressure on the spinal nerves which can lead to the possibility of developing numbness and tingling.
Stomach Pain - heartburn and stomach pain are common complaints with those who are suffering from stress.

Chiropractic care can help reduce some of the stress you are experiencing.  We can help realign the spine, reduce muscular tension and provide guidance on things that you can do at home.  This can lead to improved range of motion, less pain and improved posture.
