New Year's Resolutions....Goals....Wishes. We may think about them, but how well do we follow through on them?
Most often it is not due to the lack of motivation that causes us fail, but the fact that the goal is not a SMART goal. SMART goal, what is that??
Specific: Make your goals specific for more effective planning.
Measurable: define how you are making progress.
Attainable: make them reasonable to accomplish.
Relevant: your goals should align with your values.
Time-Based: set a date of completion.
Using SMART goals allows you to break down the goal into more manageable steps that can keep you accountable. Once you have broken down your goal into the five components, it makes the goal a little less daunting and a little more attainable.
